Jamaica’s Black River Chocolate
Some of the most treasured favors I’ve seen at Destination Weddings are locally sourced items that speak of the uniqueness of the destination. Finding something unique is a challenge as many of the items flooding the craft markets in the Caribbean are “Made in China” and stamped with the island name. I recently learned that Jamaica has its own single origin luxury chocolate line – BLACK RIVER CHOCOLATES.
Black River Chocolate is made from single origin Jamaican Trinitario cocoa beans produced by long-established family farms in the world famous Blue Mountain region. The cocoa is harvested by hand and fermented and dried in the same tradition as a century ago.
