Destination Weddings at the Westin St. Maarten
In June, I visited the Westin Dawn Beach in St. Maarten. Always on the hunt for a new hotel to offer my Destination Wedding clients, I was pleased that this property seems to offer much of what many brides are looking for. It is close to an international airport, has beautiful rooms, and great restaurants.
One of the main considerations for Destination Brides is that the beach is private. The majority of beaches in the Caribbean are public, most only up until the water break line. This is where you’ll find the occasional vendor pawning their goods. While we feel this adds to the local flavor of the region, it doesn’t always mix with a “dream wedding”. The great thing about the Westin Dawn Beach is that the beach is private! It is land locked by private land so you will only have other hotel guests sharing your beach. I visited in June, a peak wedding month, and as you can tell from my photos, the beach was empty. So keep this hotel in mind if a private beach ceremony is tops on your list.

Love the field and beach of it all. One of my favorite shots witch is in the beach. I am completely in love with this and want to steal all these ideas for my wedding. .
